DR. KIM DRYSDALE

Dr. Kim Drysdale was born and raised in Ancaster, Ontario . She attended the University of Guelph where she graduated in 1995 from the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, and joined our clinic shortly after. During her 10 years with us Kim has developed special interests in orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, oncology, feline medicine and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Drysdale strives to offer her clients the best in medicine and surgery for her patients. Kim has developed close bonds with many of her loyal clients, and looks forward to seeing them.

She is a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Surgical Laser Society and Quinte District Veterinary Association. Dr. Drysdale has 3 cats - Drucilla, Dustine, and Quagmire Montacello Bert . Her cat Ernie, who with chemotherapy had survived 5 years with lymphoma of his kidneys, sadly relapsed and was euthanized on August 1, 2004. . In her spare time Kim likes travelling, drawing and painting, working with stained glass, volunteering and riding her 2 horses Elmo and Dollie .


DR. KIM BLAKE

Dr. Kim Blake was born and raised in the Toronto region. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph in 1992. She then graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1996. Upon moving to Belleville in 1997 she joined the staff at the Stirling Veterinary Services, working occasionally at the Belleway Veterinary Hospital. In 2003 Kim became one of the regular veterinarians at the Belleway Veterinary Hospital. Although she enjoys general practice she has a special interest in geriatric and emergency medicine.

Over the past 10 years Kim has been a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and the Quinte Veterinary Medical Association. A few of those years Kim was also a board member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, working towards enhancing the profession.

On the home front, Kim’s family consist of her husband, son, daughter and one fat boy cat – Buzz. In her spare time Kim enjoys long distance running, swimming and the occasional triathelon.





DR. CLARE CRAIG

Dr. Craig graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1975. He moved to the Stirling area and started Stirling Veterinary Services. In 1986 he opened the Belleway Veterinary Hospital as the second clinic to accommodate the growing small animal practice.

Clare has special interests in internal medicine including preventative health programs and wellness testing.

He is a member of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario, Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Veterinary Surgical Laser Society and the Quinte District Veterinary Association.

Along with his wife and 3 children who help continuously with his practice Clare keeps busy caring for his 2 dogs, 3 cats and a horse. In his spare time he enjoys golfing and wood working.


DR. ASHLEY KIRKHAM

After graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College in the year 2000, Dr. Kirkham practiced at a mixed animal clinic in Picton.  She has recently joined our team and is looking forward to meeting you and your pets.

“I was drawn to this area because of the beautiful surroundings and friendly people BUT I was drawn to this hospital because of the highly skilled staff and the modern diagnostic and surgical equipment.”

Dr. Kirkham is the proud owner of two wonderful mutts, Clover and Trinket (Clover is battling bone cancer of the jaw and is having regular chemotherapy), six cats (Sniff, Moominkissa, Snufkin, Thingame, Barney and Too-Ticky), a horse named Blue and a donkey named Fluffy… and the numbers keep growing!!  She lives on a farm with her husband and baby Isabella.


DR. KAREN GODFREE

Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Karen Godfree graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004. After a year of work in Kingston , Ontario she joined our team where she currently enjoys practicing general medicine.

Interested in international veterinary outreach,  Karen volunteered her services for the animal relief efforts in New Orleans for 3 weeks following the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina – an experience she describes as heart-breaking but very satisfying.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Karen is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying activities such as road cycling, kayaking and hiking. She is the proud owner of Susie, a beloved West Highland White Terrier.
