Meet Our Veterinarians in Belleville, ON

Dr. Kimberly Drysdale
Dr. Kim Drysdale

Veterinarian & Practice Owner

Dr. Kim Drysdale was born and raised in Ancaster, Ontario. She attended the University of Guelph, where she graduated in 1995 from the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, and joined the clinic shortly after. During her 30 years at Belleway, Kim has developed special interests and education in regenerative medicine, laser therapy, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, oncology, feline medicine and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Drysdale strives to offer her clients the best in medicine and surgery. Kim has developed close bonds with many of her loyal clients and looks forward to seeing them.

She is a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Surgical Laser Society, Toronto Association of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Hospital Managers’ Association and Quinte District Veterinary Association. Dr. Drysdale has four cats (Bernadette, Raj, Sheldon and Arie), two horses (Elmo and Chris), their new puppy, Melody, and two new orange kittens, Eddie and Reggie. Kim now enjoys competing in dressage horse shows, travelling, art, and life, fixing up their farm with her husband. In 2007, Dr. Drysdale purchased the Belleway Veterinary Hospital and plans to sell the practice to her associate before retiring.

Dr. Megan Pounder
Dr. Megan Pounder

Associate

Dr. Megan Pounder graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018, following her acquisition of a degree in the Bachelor of Science by completing the Biomedical Stream at the University of Guelph. Dr. Pounder has spent a few years assisting Dr. Brodeur in orthopedic surgeries before graduation, as well as travelling to Belize twice to help with wildlife medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Pounder joined the clinic in January of 2021, in addition to working full-time at our local veterinary emergency clinic. She enjoys going the extra mile in making each patient feel comfortable at the clinic. She has grown up with many pets, both big and small, but now finds her home filled with Cedric, her Irish Wolfhound, her bossy Siamese cross, Minnie and Guacamole, her mischievous black and white cat. When not at work, Dr. Pounder enjoys travelling and spending quality time with friends and family.

Tabitha

Registered Veterinary Technologist

Tabitha graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at St. Lawrence College in June of 2010, and shortly after, she obtained a license after successfully passing the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam). She has been part of the Belleway Team since April 2020. She has a special interest in Animal Nutrition and enjoys helping pets lose weight safely and effectively to help improve their quality of life. She strives to continue learning in this area. You can also find Tabitha helping with safety protocols and keeping the team updated on training related to our new Therapeutic Laser from Companion Animal Health. She is also a Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional. When not at work, she can be found at home crocheting, playing games, and spending time with her fiancé, four kids, one cat, two rabbits, one bird, and a bearded dragon.

Michelle RVT
Michelle RVT

Registered Veterinary Technologist

Graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at St. Lawrence College in June of 2019, and shortly after, she obtained a license after successfully passing the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam). She has been part of the team here at Belleway since July 2021. She has a special interest in feline medicine, animal behaviour, anesthesiology, and shelter medicine. She is a member of the Association of Shelter Medicine Veterinary Technicians (ASMVT) and a member of the Academy of Behaviour Technicians (AVBT). She is also an Elite Fear Free Veterinary Professional, a Certified Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional and is working on her Cooperative Care Training Certificate. She has a passion for continuing to learn more about behaviour to improve patients’ emotional well-being at the clinic and at home. When not at work, she can be found gardening, doing scent detection work with her Walker hound, Sada. As well, spending time with her fiancé and two cats.

Alison
Alison Moses

Veterinary Technician

Alison graduated from the Georgian College Veterinary Technician program in 2007. She joined Belleway Veterinary Hospital in 2008. She is a lover of all creatures, big and small. But she has a soft spot for cats. Alison decided on a career change in 2014 and is now an RPN (Registered Practical Nurse). We are fortunate that Alison still fills in on occasion here at Belleway. When not taking care of human patients, she loves to spend time with her husband, two sons, and two cats, Ecto and Egon.

Richelle
Richelle

Veterinary Assistant

Richelle graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program at St. Lawrence College in 2015. She has extensive experience working with animals in shelter and emergency settings, where she acquired skills in assessing animal behaviour to help facilitate adoptions. She joined the Belleway Team in March 2023. With previous Fear Free training, Richelle enjoys tending to patients and making their veterinary visits as positive as possible. When not at work, she can be found riding horses, spending time in nature with her two dogs, and cuddling her three cats.

Sheryl
Sheryl Misuraca

Office Administrator

Sheryl started as a receptionist in 1987. She spent many years as a full-time receptionist, then transitioned to hospital manager. More recently, her primary role is office administration. Her support for Belleway is vital to the inner workings of the clinic. On the home front, Sheryl enjoys spending time with family, including her husband and their children.

Carrie
Carrie Boutilier

Office Manager

Carrie has been a part of our team since 2008 and took on the role of office manager in 2021. Her love of animals started very early, growing up on a local dairy farm. Carrie and her husband have two sons and share their home with their Goldendoodle, “Barley”. Carrie also enjoys her time showing their family’s Registered Belgian horses and riding her horse “Riggs”. Carrie loves the interaction she has with our clients and their pets. She takes the time to genuinely get to know you and your furry companions, and with her warm smile, is ready to jump up anytime to help.

Sarah
Sarah Oosting

Receptionist

Sarah has been a dedicated part of the Belleway Veterinary Hospital family for decades. Her lifelong love of animals first drew her to the clinic in 1994, when she began as a co-op student. Over the next five years, she worked part-time throughout high school, laying the foundation for what would become a lasting commitment to both the clinic and the clients it serves.

After completing her education in Business and Medical Administration, continuing her studies in the veterinary field, Sarah returned to Belleway, where she now serves as our full-time receptionist. She is often the first friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our doors, and she takes pride in helping clients connect with the care and support they need.
Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys staying active through running, camping, and trail riding.

Shannon

Receptionist

As an avid animal lover, Shannon made the switch and accomplished her lifelong desire to work in a veterinary clinic, and joined us in 2021; and we’re so happy she did! She has been a welcoming presence at the front desk ever since. As a veterinary receptionist, she ensures that every client and pet receives the attention and care they need from the moment they walk in. With a love for dogs and horses, Shannon’s passion for animals is reflected in her friendly and compassionate approach. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, relaxing in her pool, cooking, cleaning, and tending to her gardens. Shannon also loves pet/house sitting in her spare time, giving her the opportunity to connect with even more animals.
